A microwave and Wi-Fi

I am trying to be more comfortable in front of a camera, so I made a video where I show the effect of a Microwave on 2.4GHz. You can see the video here: https://youtu.be/KPnneBnHWc0 Remember, this is just a fun video of me showing why we need so many tools for our job. In Wi-Fi,Fortsett å lese «A microwave and Wi-Fi»

Push Wi-Fi details to the cloud with iOS17

What do you think the Wi-Fi community will do when we find out that we can pull more Wi-Fi details using Apple Shortcut on iOS17. Meraki Roaming Panel

Recently Meraki has released a new panel called «Roaming». This panel will show roaming history for every wireless client in your dashboard. This is great, and something that I have missed. Meraki dashboard is getting better and better, maybe because Cisco+Meraki = TRUE and they are all now a big happy family helping each other.Fortsett å lese «Meraki Roaming Panel»

WlanPi-R4 capture with 7 WLAN adapters

I often do roaming analysis, and this has been quite easy with Metageek Eye P.A where you can add 6-8 adapters and follow a client (usually a voice client, or client drivers that fix or break FT) to do roaming analysis. Validate things like FT (if supported), what band it prefers and how long itFortsett å lese «WlanPi-R4 capture with 7 WLAN adapters»

6GHz Connectivity Testing – MacBook vs PC

Like many of you know, I got my first 6GHz access-points around 1 year ago and like many others I had already upgraded my Windows computer with the AX210. Now that Apple has new WLAN card on their MacBook Pro with 6E support, I thought it was a good idea to see who does itFortsett å lese «6GHz Connectivity Testing – MacBook vs PC»

Decrypting WPA2 – «Smart TVs» and HTTP

This will be a very short blog post about an old PCAP I did to learn about decrypting WPA2 with Wireshark during my CWNA and CWSP studies. Cisco AP Power-Save – How much do you really save?

The AP power-save mode was created to force power hungry APs into low-power mode to reduce how much power they use. Since every company needs to give something back to the environment, while at the same time having APs with an ridiculous amount of radios to support the ever growing crazy standards like Wi-Fi7 withFortsett å lese «Cisco AP Power-Save – How much do you really save?»

Cisco radio sniffer mode – no boot required

Most of us know about Cisco sniffer mode, this is not new and has been around for years. But in later versions (17.8.1 and later) you can now start to sniff without needing to boot the AP at all. This works for APs like the 2800, 3800, 4800 and 9100 series APs. The XOR radioFortsett å lese «Cisco radio sniffer mode – no boot required»

I farted on my C9136 AP!

Now that is one heck of a name for a blog post! The new C9136 access point from Cisco does not only have Wi-Fi radios, that we knew. It has Zigbee and Bluetooth, but did you know it also has environment sensors to measure things like temperature, humidity and it also has a TVOC sensor.Fortsett å lese «I farted on my C9136 AP!»
